Nepal Armed Force Conduct Fire Control Demonstration in Humla (Photo Feature)

Humla, Nepal – February 18, 2025 – The Nepal Armed Force organized a live demonstration to educate locals on fire control and rescue techniques, focusing on wildfires, community fires, and gas leaks inside homes. The event aimed to equip residents with practical knowledge to handle fire-related emergencies effectively.

The demonstration featured real-time simulations showcasing rescue techniques and fire suppression methods. Officials emphasized preventive measures and rapid response strategies crucial for minimizing damage and ensuring public safety.

The event saw the participation of key dignitaries, including the Chief District Administration Officer, Major of the Nepal Army, DSP of Nepal Police, DSP of the Armed Police Force, DSP of the National Investigation Department, and representatives from various organizations. Also present were the Chairman of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce Humla, Chairman of the Journalism Federation Humla, Chairman of FONIJ Humla, Officer from Division Forest Office, Political leaders, Journalists, and Local residents.

The primary objective of this initiative was to raise awareness among locals about the dangers of wildfires and other fire-related hazards. The authorities encouraged the community to adopt preventive measures and remain vigilant to mitigate potential risks.

This demonstration served as a crucial step in enhancing fire preparedness in Humla, a region prone to wildfires and household fire incidents. Officials assured continued efforts to train and educate locals in fire safety and disaster response strategies.
